If you want to be a winning player, you aren’t going to get anywhere by listening to people on forums. I didn’t start really winning until I stopped listening to all the bad advice on here. Sure, occasionally someone screws up and posts something of value, but that’s rare. Unfortunately you have to figure out what works for you and use your own common sense. Just because someone here says “It must be done this way” doesn’t mean they are worth listening too.
