I’m not sure the visual results of on-line casinos are reliable. A better way to go would be Bob Gordon’s DVDs. I haven’t purchased any but Forester seems to think they are fairly good.

But I was thinking that predicting an online real wheel would be much easier than using covert devices in a real casino. It could be done from at home and with any equipment and methods imaginable.

Well, one has to bet before the wheel is spun. So it’s completely useless.
However, if some real casino one day would get the fantastic idea to film their roulette table live and let people bet online, well then they might soon regret that move…

They save the recordings a while, don’t they? Maybe copies are for sale from security staff who want to make extra money? Must be very difficult to detect some guard copying a *.avi file.

I mean to get vido signal for processing :, then to use optical sensors to detect ball and wheel speed. 
Such online webcam gambling where real wheels are used is not a guarantee that a casino can be beaten though. Indeed some casinos are blatantly dishonest, and will refuse payouts. see here
there are lots of live wheels online, though not all of them are available for all the jurisdictions. For example many live casinos do not accept americans.
Make some search in google ‘live online casinos’
I have searched for hours in the past. To find online wheels are easy. To find online wheels allowing late bets not. Then again my connection sucks anyway so it would not really matter anyway! 
online wheels are hard for watching the ball i think. Quality of the video is not as one as your view in real casino
